Medjugorje, February 18, 2023

Dear Friends, praise be to Jesus and Mary!

1. On January 25, 2023, visionary Marija received the following monthly message:

“Dear children! Pray with me for peace, because Satan wants war and hatred in hearts and peoples. Therefore, pray and sacrifice your days by fasting and penance, that God may give you peace. The future is at a crossroads, because modern man does not want God. That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope. Pray with me, that what I began in Fatima and here may be realized. Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace. Thank you for answering my call.”

2. This message from Mary is too serious for us to leave it unanswered. Our future and that of our children are at stake!

Let us take a closer look at Fatima! For the second time, Mary is speaking to us about Fatima. In August 1991, after the Gulf War, she said this: “…Therefore, I call all of you, dear children, to pray and fast still more firmly. I invite you to self-renunciation for nine days so that, with your help, everything that I desire to realize through the secrets I began in Fatima, may be fulfilled. I call you, dear children, to now grasp the importance of my coming and the seriousness of the situation…”

And this month she tells us: “Pray with me for the realization of what I started in Fatima and here.”Why this insistence?

It seems to me that at Fatima, in the midst of World War II, Our Lady wanted to show us her maternal plan with clarity, a plan to bring peace to the world and disarm Satan, the destroyer. For this purpose, she provided several infallible means:

Daily recitation of the Rosary, Penance, Consecration to her Immaculate Heart, and devotion of the first 5 Saturdays over 5 consecutive months.

In various forms, these points can be found in the Medjugorje messages, but instead of 6 apparitions for Fatima (plus that of Pontevedra to Lucia in December 1925), we already have more than 42 years of daily apparitions in Medjugorje!

Medjugorje is indeed both a school and a hospital. When a child is in a coma, his mother watches him every day until he comes back to life, even if it means staying with him for years! And our world has largely plunged into a deep spiritual coma, or rather into a dangerous darkness of conscience. In order to be able to realize what Mary began in Fatima and continues to do in Medjugorje, she invites us to pray, and to pray a great deal. In her motherly Heart, she is carrying a rescue plan for her children, and she needs our fervent cooperation. “Without you, dear children, I cannot help the world, I need you! Each one of you is important for my plans. I invite you to collaborate with me in the smallest details of your life!”

One of the points in the message of Fatima is rather neglected, namely the 5 first Saturdays devotion. As a Jew, Mary knows the tradition of her people regarding the annual celebration of Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, (see Lev 16:29-34). Once a year in September, a few days before Yom Kippur, in a spirit of reparation, the Jewish people strive to cleanse their hearts from bitterness, resentment, hatred or other bad feelings, and they seek reconciliation in order to be as clean as possible before God. They do no work, they fast and pray. Before the destruction of the Temple, the high priest in the Temple made sin offerings to God for the sins of His people and for his own sins. For this he offered the blood of animals. Now it is the High Priest Jesus, the Son of God sent by the Father, who offers Himself in sacrifice once and for all, and it is His precious Blood that cleanses us from all sin.

It is interesting to see that at Fatima, Mary also invites us to go through a process of purification with the first 5 Saturdays. In order to repair the offenses against her Immaculate Heart, she invites us to make sincere and frequent confession, receive Holy Communion in a state of grace and meditate on one of the mysteries of the Rosary for 10 minutes. At Pontevedra, she appeared to Lucia with her Heart pierced by a sword, as the old man Simeon had predicted.

3. Many pilgrims are coming from Ukraine to Medjugorje, especially mothers with their children. We have been struck by their courage and determination to fully live this time of grace with the Queen of Peace.

One of the mothers gave us this testimony, which reflects the spirit in which these families are living out their pilgrimages:

“Yes, we have come to Medjugorje to pray and to ask for help from Heaven for our country. Of course we are asking for peace, but above all, we have come to return to God! This is the primary goal of our journey. Before asking God for protection for our country, we must ask Him for forgiveness, because our sons who are at war today had brothers and sisters… but we aborted them. Especially in the 90s, there were many abortions in Ukraine. This is why we come to ask for the grace to return to God and to live His commandments.

Indeed, the Blessed Mother has often repeated this message:

“Dear children, return to God!”

“…Little children, with love I am calling you: return to God, because God is love and your hope. You do not have a future if you do not decide for God;…” (Nov. 25, 2022)

“…Little children, do not forget that you are important in my plan of salvation of mankind. Return to God and prayer that the Holy Spirit may work in you and through you…” (June 25, 2022)

4. Mary tells us: “I am with you!” Man inspired by Satan may destroy, but Mother Mary does not give in to defeat, she supports us and gives us signs of her maternal presence. In the rubble of the earthquake, her statue stands there, intact.

For 42 years, she has been telling us how to prevent wars, stop wars and suspend natural laws (earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, cyclones, tsunamis, etc.). “Only through fasting and prayer” she tells us! She never ceases to show us the way to true peace, and she intercedes for us tirelessly, but she respects our freedom. At the crossroads, man chooses to go with God, to love and worship Him, or to live without God, and to be asphyxiated without prayer. And that is where our Mother weeps tears of blood, because she sees that doing so, we have no future.
