Medjugorje, October 17, 2025
Dear Friends, praise be to Jesus and Mary!
1. On September 25th, 2025, visionary Marija received the following monthly message:
“Dear children, may this time be for you a time of prayer for peace. If you love God above all else it will be easy for you to pray and open your hearts up to Him. Thank you for responding to my call.”

| 2. During a Mass in English, the celebrant told an overwhelming story about his life…
“In 2014, I was a hospital chaplain, happy to be able to bring the sacraments to the sick. I listened to them, I brought them comfort, it was I who confessed and gave Communion: Me, me, me… This was not good. (The priest was putting himself at the center).
“One day, I was called in to see Tony, a patient who had just received a worrying diagnosis. He wasn’t dying, but would soon no longer be able to walk. He had agreed to see a priest because he said he was Catholic.
After we introduced each other, I asked him, “When was the last time you went to Holy Mass?”
“In 1966,” he told me.
Surprised, I asked him: What happened that day to make it your last Mass?
“I was in a football team, and we had just won an important game. One of my friends suggested we go to Mass to thank God for this victory, so I went with him!”
I understood that this man had been distant from the faith and the Church for a long time, and I set out to explain the sacrament of Penance to him before hearing his confession. But after 2 minutes, I saw him looking impatiently at his watch. Nevertheless, I finished my explanation and offered to hear his Confession.
He confessed two or three sins to me, and I gave him absolution. But then I thought: this is not the confession of a man who has not received any sacrament for 40 years! |
| I continued my explanation before offering him the Anointing of the Sick. I then saw him lean over sideways. I turned around to see if anyone came into the room… No-one! What a surprise it was to realize that Tony had turned to the TV, and that he was more interested in the program than in what I was telling him!
I asked him if he would prefer me to leave.
“… No, no, go on with your business”, he said, waving his hand, while continuing to watch TV. I was annoyed but ended up giving him the Sacrament of the Sick anyway.
As I left the room, I clearly heard the voice of Jesus in my heart: “Go and give him Holy Communion!”
It wasn’t my own thought; it was very clear. So, I said to myself: no, he doesn’t deserve it! He’s not interested in anything about the faith; I am not going to give him Holy Communion! But Jesus’ voice became more insistent: “You are not a priest for yourself, you are My priest, go and give him Holy Communion!”
Although still annoyed by Tony’s behavior, Jesus’ words got the better of all my resistance. Against my own intuition I asked the nurse if I could bring Holy Communion to Tony. She had no problem with that.
I found myself in Tony’s room, where he was still watching TV with great interest, not paying any attention to me. I then took a Host and lifted it up saying, “Here is the Lamb of God, the One who takes away the sins of the world…”.
Since he wasn’t looking, I had to pat him on the shoulder energetically. His eyes then left the screen, and he looked at the Host.
Suddenly, the situation changed completely! He was overwhelmed with a powerful emotion, and he began to ask for forgiveness: “Forgive me Jesus for having done this … Forgive me Lord for having done that …” This lasted several minutes. I could not believe it! |
| He had shown no interest in anything I explained to him, and now that he was looking at the Host, he understood that it was really the Body, the Blood, the Soul and the Divinity of Christ, living and present in our midst! Not only was he completely repentant of his sins, but he recognized Jesus as his Lord and Savior! After this confession, the confession of his life, he received Communion.
In silence, amazed at what had just happened, I left the room. I was truly humbled. I said to myself: it is the Lord who does this through me, not I doing this! As for me… I do nothing!
Barely a little while later, seeing that I had forgotten my prayer book in Tony’s room, I turned back. I saw the nurse, who said to me: “My goodness! That was close!”
Surprised, I looked at her without understanding…
– What do you mean, that was close?
“After you left,” she told me, “Tony asked for a glass of water and then he died a few minutes later.”
I was stunned.
This very sincere homily touched people’s hearts. In the assembly, many were crying.
“How great is the Mercy of God”, he said! Without ever tiring, and until the last minute, He seeks to bring his lost children back to Himself, and He does so even through an arrogant and broken priest, as I was! He used me to reach His child at the time of his death. Always be confident and sure of God’s love for you, and be sure of His Providence!” |
| 3. What about lukewarmness? In their priestly life, many priests who have become lukewarm, one day experience a very special moment of grace, as we just saw. It enables them to truly welcome Jesus into their hearts and to live for Him. Their celebration of Mass looks the same, but within, burns a fire that changes everything. A fire that communicates to the faithful and reaches them in their very depth. That is the great desire of the Heart of Mary! In the messages she entrusted to Mirjana, she never stopped inviting us seriously to pray for our priests.
“I invite you to pray for your priests. Standing by their side, I will triumph.” (10.2.2010).
“Love your shepherds as my Son loved them when He called them to serve you.” 06.02.2013
“Do not allow evil to separate you from your shepherds.” 09.02.2013.
“Pray for the shepherds! May your mouths be closed to all judgment, for do not forget that my Son chose them. He alone has the right to judge.” 01.02.2013 (Continued in PS1) |
| 4. Huge is the impact that the holiness of priests has on the world.
But the enemy of our souls tries to trap them in a thousand ways. We can and must do a lot to help them! Let us listen to God’s cry in the Bible: “Do not touch any of my consecrated ones; do not harm my prophets!” (Ps. 105,15) And also: “Do not touch anyone who is consecrated to me, do not mistreat my prophets!” (1Ch 16:22)
The end of the Jubilee Year is approaching (January 6). This is an opportunity to pull ourselves together, if we have become lukewarm. Let us take advantage of the special graces of the Jubilee Year as they pass on… Let us not let the gifts that the Church is offering us slip away! Let’s take our priests to heart, our prayer for them is vital!
5. Saint Maryam of Bethlehem (PS2) conveyed to Pope Pius XI the following request that she received from the Lord: “I ardently desire that every month the priests give a Mass in honor of the Holy Spirit. Anyone who says or hears it will be honored by the Holy Spirit himself. He will have light, he will have peace. He will heal the sick, he will awaken those who are asleep.”
I have spoken about this to priests who have taken this request seriously. They now testify that this simple practice has changed their priestly life. Entire parishes have been renewed! Let many people know that, let’s share it widely! |

| 6. Freeing a priest from Purgatory?
As a work of mercy, have you thought of having a Mass celebrated for a priest to be freed from Purgatory? In celebration of this Jubilee Year, we can offer a departed soul a plenary indulgence and free them from Purgatory!
Priests suffer enormously in this place of purification. We could ask our Blessed Mother before Mass, to choose for herself the priest she wishes to free from purgatory. Once delivered, this priest will have within his heart to powerfully help his fellow priests on earth, those who have committed themselves to paths of sin and spiritual death. This will enable them to return wholeheartedly to Christ and His Word. In this way we can do immense good to the Church and to the world!
Who prayed for this English priest I mentioned above? He was arrogant, and then he became an icon of Jesus’ mercy. How many souls can he now reach, humbly letting Jesus work through him? |
