Medjugorje, May 21, 2026
Dear Friends, praise be to Jesus and Mary!
1. On April 25th, 2026, the visionary, Marija, received the following monthly message:
“Dear children, I am praying for you and encourage you to a new life, a life in joy and prayer. May the Holy Spirit fill you, little children, with joy so that you may be like a spring of pure and drinkable water; that you, little children, may be in God and with God missionaries of love and peace. Your life is short here on earth and that is why I am with you to lead you towards Heaven. Thank you for having responded to my call”

2. The power of God and man’s gratitude
Peppe owns a large seafood restaurant in Naples, near the sea. He is 54 years old, married, and a father. Everything was going well for him until he was greatly afflicted: two years ago, he was diagnosed with a very rare and virtually incurable cancer, which spread throughout his entire body. For two years, he suffered from severe bleeding from his mouth.

The diagnosis was very clear: stage IV T-cell lymphoma, which is potentially curable only after intensive chemotherapy. He came to Medjugorje and prayed for his recovery. Upon his return, he found that the lymphoma had shrunk and that he had a 99% chance of it being cured.
He went back to Medjugorje to thank Our Lady. The visionary, Marija, gave him a little cross blessed by Our Lady during an apparition. He immediately put it around his neck.
A little later, in his sleep, he dreamt that the Blessed Mother accompanied him to the Blue Cross with ten doctors ready to operate on him. She told him: “Your chemo will feel like water to you.”
Indeed, throughout his treatment, he felt nothing, while other patients endured terrible suffering accompanied by side effects such as hair loss. He underwent a PET scan, (a molecular imaging method to detect the spread of lymphoma), and it was discovered that it had disappeared. He was cured!He then promised Our Lady that he would return to Medjugorje every year to thank her.
Medjugorje is certainly a place of healing and grace, but not everyone is healed here. Those who come, however, find meaning in their lives and leave with this gift of Our Lady who is a compassionate Mother to her children who are suffering. She speaks to us clearly, guiding us through today’s trials. Without her we cannot make it, and she leads us to Jesus, who alone is our future.
The Blessed Mother tells us in Medjugorje that “the future of humanity is at a crossroads.” It is a call to choose a direction:
“Modern man does not want God. That is why mankind is heading to perdition. You, little children, are my hope… Be prayer and witness peace in your surroundings, and be people of peace.” (January 25, 2023)
Before the Balkan War, she said: “I invite you to pray with the heart in order that your prayer may be a conversation with God. I desire each one of you to dedicate more time to God. Satan is strong and wants to destroy and deceive you in many ways. Therefore, dear children, pray every day that your life will be good for yourselves and for all those you meet. I am with you and I am protecting you even though Satan wishes to destroy my plans and to hinder the desires which the Heavenly Father wants to realize here.” (September 25, 1990)

| 3. Mary’s extraordinary Motherhood.
After the Ascension of Jesus into Heaven, Mary remained on earth. The Gospel tells us nothing of these years. Some saints and mystics received revelations about them and unveiled profound aspects of her motherhood.
Blessed Conchita Cabrera of Mexico (1862-1937) was shown the solitude of Mary in her last years on earth. Mary experienced an inner martyrdom of which very few are aware. Wholly turned toward her Lord and Master, she continued to share in the sufferings of the Passion, offering them up for the growth of the Church. These meditations can only help us, especially in this month of May, to enter more deeply into the mystery of Mary and to love her more.
Jesus revealed to Conchita:
“At the foot of the Cross, all her children were born. My death gave them life in the heart of My Mother. But before her death She had to manifest this maternity on earth, gaining, by the sufferings of My absence, an infinitude of graces present and future for her children. Her title of Mother of mankind, Mary won by the martyrdom of her solitude after My death. Has the world been aware of this? Does it appreciate it and is it grateful for it?
The time has come when the children should show they are real children, showing their veneration for this heart broken by this subtle and most painful martyrdom, lived through for the sake of their own happiness. | Pain in itself has no value; it is a consequence and bitter fruit of sin. But love has the prodigious power to transform it and make it an instrument of redemption. Collaboration in the cross of Christ is above all a call to collaborate in the salvation of the world.
Today, if Our Lady is able to intercede for us so powerfully, it is because she participated with unparalleled love and courage in the Passion of her Son. She did so out of love for us, her children. Did she not say here in Medjugorje:
“Dear children, I love you with the immeasurable love of Jesus” (November 25, 1991). Jesus wanted to share with His mother the pain He felt due to His abandonment on the Cross. His words, “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?” resonated in her motherly heart. She felt such a deep abandonment, but by divine intervention and grace she was able to offer this up during her last years on earth for God’s glory and for the sake of her children. Therefore today, none of us as Mary’s children, should feel abandoned because God always gives us the grace we need.
It is impossible that such a Mother would not hear the cry of her children, who by the thousands suffer terrible loneliness and abandonment in this world which has become so cruel.
Just as her Son called her to participate in His work of redemption for the salvation of humanity, she herself calls us today to collaborate with her on behalf of all those who do not yet know God’s love.
“Dear children, I need you. Without you, I cannot help the world. I invite you to collaborate with me in every detail of your daily life” Who will respond with all their heart to such a maternal call?
